A Non-Christmas Christmas Photo

December 4th, 2005

Every year since our first son was born, my wife and I have sent out a Christmas card with a photo of him (and eventually them) on it. Up to this point, all of the photos were Christmas-themed, but this year has more of a post-construction theme instead. I feel a little bad about putting them to work like this, but, hey someone has to clean up this mess! Since we moved into our house in July, I have had the place pretty torn up, as the house was new, but not exactly finished. And, since I can leave no surface untouched, I just had to rip out much of what was finished. So, after re-pouring the concrete on the first floor, replacing most of the carpet with Marmoleum, painting, landscaping, making a full bath out of a half bath, adding closets, windows, etc., the place is a mess. I promised my wife I would hire someone to clean up the concrete dust when I was done with everything, but these two looked like they didn’t have much else to do, so they got the job! Merry Christmas, boys, and keep on scrubbing!
